Stafford Elementary School is a new building on the site of a former drive-in moved theater. The two story building consists of a 53,402 square foot first floor and a 20,057 square foot second floor. In addition to standard classrooms for grade levels kinder through fifth, the facility was designed with a full gymnasium, kitchen, cafeteria, library, music rooms, art studios, science labs, and computer technology labs. Two playgrounds and a natural, open-air, low slope amphitheater adorn the site. Careful planning of sun patterns and shading reduces the direct sunlight contacting the building reducing the over cost of cooling the building.
