The George Gervin Youth Center is a nonprofit organization and education facility focusing on services that impact the lives of troubled youth and their families. The Academy provides comprehensive academic assessments, tutoring, mentoring, and job training through 18 classrooms, a library, administration office, computer lab, and child car facility.  Designed in cooperation with the director, the center respected the desire to create a flexible, usable center within a tight budget and deadline.

    In 2004 the Newell Plaza Retirement Apartments were built and designed to provide affordable housing to adults age 62 years and older. The facility is a HUD 202 Supportive Housing project for the elderly.
